Job Opening: Part-time Instructor of Cello


Kent State University’s Glauser School of Music seeks a Part-Time Instructor of Cello with demonstrated commitment to supporting a thriving and diverse music program for a position to begin August 23, 2020.

Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities include teaching weekly lessons and studio class for undergraduate and graduate cello students, performing on faculty recitals, and coordinating and coaching chamber music. Additional duties include recruitment activities and evaluating auditions, juries, and degree recitals.

Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience required. Evidence of successful teaching at the collegiate level. Demonstrated artistry through performances in solo, chamber, and/or orchestral settings. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, including music majors and non-majors.
