Kent State Faculty Member Held Virtual Concert to Support KSU Students in Need

For many Kent State University students, this unprecedented time and the move to remote learning has caused financial hardships. In response, Kent State created the Kent State Emergency Grant Fund to help these students. Kent State's Director of Jazz Studies Bobby Selvaggio held a special virtual living room concert to support this critical new fund.

"I can't do a lot right now, but I wanted to find a way to support the students who need help during this time," said Selvaggio. "I thought this concert would be a good way to do that while also bringing some joy and entertainment into people's lives through music."

On Sat., April 11, the Kent State University School of Music streamed the concert live on Facebook, raising over $1,300 for the Kent State Emergency Grant Fund.  The full video of the performance can be viewed below.
