Design School Welcomes Professor Specializing in IllustrationPosted Dec. 5, 2013
Christopher Darling will join the School of Visual Communication Design as an Assistant Professor in the Spring 2014 semester, serving the illustration concentration. Darling received a Master of Fine Arts with honors in Illustration as Visual Essay at the School of Visual Arts. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan School of Art.
Darling is the co-founder of the New York illustrated fiction magazine Carrier Pigeon. He received a 2013 Pixie Award for Legacy Records and has also been recognized by the Society of Illustrators (New York). Some of his clients include Sony Music Entertainment, the New York City Department of Transportation, CAKE, Farrar Straus and Giroux, Ready366, Citigroup, Time Out New York and Frieze Magazine.
