Kent State Students Spread Holiday CheerPosted Dec. 9, 2013
Students involved with Kent State East Liverpool's Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) clubs helped create holiday cheer in our area by hosting their annual party for students at the Columbiana County Board of Developmental Disabilities Robert Bycroft School.
Students, faculty members and employees helped plan the eleventh annual party that included lunch, presents and holiday cookies. Each PTA and OTA club member purchased gifts for individual Robert Bycroft students, which were then wrapped and delivered to the school that day. During lunch, club members spent time with the students by helping distribute gifts and organizing games and activities.
Members of the PTA/COTA clubs also held a team community service project. The students made twenty baskets for the Catholic Charities Senior Center and wrapped presents for thirty-eight Head Start students. The baskets were delivered to Catholic Charities and the Head Start gifts are slated for delivery on December 18.
