E-Waste Recycling on Wednesday, Oct. 23Posted Oct. 21, 2013
On Campus Sustainability Day, Wednesday, Oct. 23, Kent State University at Stark will provide the community, as well as their students and employees, a sustainable option to disposing of electronics refuse. The free* Electronics Waste Recycling Drop-off Site will be available from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Kent State Stark barn, located off of Loop Road near the Main Hall building, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
*There is no cost to drop off items, except for the minimal charge of $3 for CRT monitors up to 17 inches and $5 for televisions and CRT monitors larger than 17 inches. For a complete listing of the electronic waste items accepted at the drop-off site, please visit www.stark.kent.edu/about/events/e-waste.cfm. Volunteers will be available to assist with unloading. Kent State Stark has partnered with Midwest Comtel and Gen-Tek, local recycling companies that will responsibly recycle, refurbish or reuse the electronic items dropped off during the event.
