Alumni Award $2,000

To make coding boot camps more accessible and affordable to a broader sector of the population, The Software Guild is proud to announce the launch of The Software Guild Alumni Award. The $2,000 award is available to graduates of Kent State University and to students who have completed a program through Kent State University’s Office of Continuing and Distance Education. To qualify for the award, alumni and previous students will need to provide documentation of their graduate or program completion status.*

Badge Completion Award $500+

The award (up to $500 at the beginning of each badge) is available to apprentices who have completed the required badge level. To qualify for the award, apprentices must complete the initial Level 1 Badge and complete subsequent Badge levels for further completion awards.*

Women in Tech Award $2,000

The award is available to females students that qualify based on self-identification.*  

Veterans Who Code Award $2,000

Military personnel in the following groups - reservists, veterans, and/or active-duty service members - are eligible and must present proof of eligibility defined as original statement of service or certificate of release or discharge.*

Grant recipients must successfully complete The Software Guild admissions process and be offered a spot in the fully online, hybrid or on-ground coding bootcamp program with a cohort start date prior to December 31, 2019. Failure to begin the program by this date will result in forfeiture of the full grant award. Students must also be in good standing, as defined by The Software Guild and Kent State University's Office of Continuing and Distance Education. 

University, Women in Tech, Veterans Who Code, and Badge Completion awards will be noted as a reduction to the total course fee. It will be applied to the payment required to complete course registration for the badge or program. Awards may not be combined and will not be paid directly to the student. 

These awards are being offered in their entirety by The Software Guild and is neither funded by, managed by nor in association with Kent State University's Office of Continuing and Distance Education.
