Connie Finton Featured Speaker for Women's Success Series

The Women's Success Series kicks off their third year with speaker Connie Finton on Nov. 7 at Kent State University at Tuscarawas in New Philadelphia. The event is held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost to attend each session is $10, which includes a continental breakfast.

She is a member of the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau; the Union Hospital Development and Community Relations Board; Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services Advisory Committee; Got Milk? Got Cookies? Got Books? Reading Enhancement Program; and she is the co-developer and charter member of Fit Youth Initiative. Additional commitments include national and state dairy farming organizations such as the National Milk Producers Federation Animal Health Committee and dairy co-ops. Finton was recognized for her successful and extensive volunteerism in 2008 when she received the Lucille Nussdorfer Tuscarawas County Woman of the Year Award.

The 2014-2015 Series also features entrepreneur Vickie Lewis, who owns and operates eight McDonald's Restaurants, on Feb. 6, 2015; and Dennison Depot Museum System Executive Director Wendy Zucal on April 10, 2015.

Originating in November of 2012, the Women's Success Series is designed to inspire women of all ages to succeed personally and professionally. Each year, the leadership series features three dynamic women who have enjoyed a measure of success in Tuscarawas County. The sessions also include networking opportunities and a book discussion.
