Find Your Stride on a “Walk and Talk Tour” and More in August

A new academic year is coming! What better way to prepare for the arrival of new students and log some extra steps than by taking a tour of our beautiful campus.

On Aug. 12, the OneWellU "walk and talk" will be led by guides from Undergraduate Admissions. This will allow faculty and staff participants to see the campus and some of our updated facilities through the eyes of the students. There is no cost or registration required for the walk and talk tours. Just meet at the black squirrel statue between the University Library and Kent Student Center at noon. We will wrap up our walk at 1 p.m.

Also, on Aug. 4, the Division of Human Resources will be offering a Lunch and Learn on "Learning the Art of Self-expression." Assertive expression promotes equality in human relationships and helps us to respond in a way that reduces anxiety and increases comfortable expression of thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will explore the meaning of assertiveness, the barriers to self-expression, the difference between assertiveness and aggressiveness and how to exercise personal preferences without denying the preferences of others. Seating is limited, and registration is required for all Lunch and Learn events. Programs are sponsored by the Division of Human Resources and its wellness partners. A complimentary light lunch will be provided for all registered attendees.

For a complete list of offerings and registration information, employees may visit the OneWellU website.
