Webmaster Reminder: One More Week Until Content Freeze

Hi, Drupalites,

A big thank you to all of you for providing revisions and approval of your redesigned home pages. The team is hard at work making remaining revisions.

We also wanted to send you a friendly reminder about the coming content freeze.

Please remember:

  • Next week is your last week to make content updates to interior pages of your soon-to-be new website.
  • All content that must appear on the interior pages of your websites on Jan. 8, 2017 must be in place by Sunday, Dec. 18.
  • Content freeze for your new website will be in effect Dec. 19 through Jan. 8, 2017.
  • No changes can be made to your soon-to-be-new website’s home pages, aside from revisions the team is making on your behalf, until Jan. 9, 2017.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our hope is that with the holidays and holiday break approaching, most of your content will indeed be wrapped up.

The Monday, Dec. 19, through Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 content freeze is necessary to allow for performance testing.

Please keep these dates in mind as you are working.

If you have questions about the process or timeline, please contact Lin Danes, director of web services in University Communications and Marketing, at ldanes@kent.edu, so that she can partner with Sameer Jaleel, director of systems development for Information Services, to triage your inquiry and reply.

Happy holidays,

The web redesign team
