College Credit Plus Information Nights Announced

Kent State University’s Columbiana County campuses are each hosting information sessions for area students and parents to learn more about the College Credit Plus (CCP) program. CCP is a state program that helps college-ready students in grades 7 through 12 earn free college credits while still in school.  

Representatives from area colleges and universities will explain how qualified area students can take college-level classes during the 2019-2020 academic year.

The events are free and open to parents and students.

Kent State Salem is holding a CCP information session on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 134 of the main building located on St. Route 45. Attendance is free and open to parents and students.

Representatives from Kent State, Eastern Gateway Community College, Youngstown State University and Hiram College will be on site to share information.

There will be CCP presentations from Columbiana, Salem, Sebring, South Range, West Branch and Western Reserve high schools, as well as information for home-school families. Kent State East Liverpool is holding a CCP information session on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m., in the library in Purinton Hall, located at 400 E. Fourth St.

Representatives from Kent State, Eastern Gateway Community College and Youngstown State University will be on site to share information. Students in all local Ohio school districts are welcome to attend.
