Students from Champion, Howland, LaBrae, and Lordstown school districts will attend the second annual JA Inspire event held on November 16, 2018, at the campus of Kent State University at Trumbull.

This dynamic career development experience gives middle school students access to high-growth careers and area employers, post-secondary education opportunities, and interactive career activities.

Volunteer mentors from the community will teach the students lessons in Branding, Career Exploration, and How to Get and Keep a Job. After the morning workshops, at noon, they will participate in a career exploration fair.

Through JA Inspire, students will connect with professionals from some of the region's most prominent employers and learn about the various career clusters.

We are proud to welcome representatives from 7 17 Credit Union, Avalon Inn & Resort, The Event Discovery Company, First National Bank, J. M. Verostko Consulting Engineers,  Kent State University, KeyBank, Mercy Health, Performance Communications, Trumbull County Soil & Water Conservation District, Vallourec, and Walmart.

About Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley

JA USA is celebrating 100 years of preparing the next generation for their economic success. Founded in 1919 in Springfield, MA, Junior Achievement has been helping youth for 100 years in over 100 countries around the world.

Locally, Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley reached 13,671 students in 631 classrooms during the 2017-2018 school year. Over 546 individuals volunteered their time in the classroom. These passionate volunteers, investors, educators, and local leaders are individuals who care enough to make a difference in a child's life through the enrichment with the JA experience. For many children, experiencing JA is seeing an activity and visualizing a future where their dreams can become reality.
