Video: The Child Development Center at Kent State

Kent State’s Childhood Development Center (CDC) offers experiential learning to teachers in the making and their students.

The CDC is an early-year laboratory school on campus, which allows early childhood education majors to observe a classroom simulation and become more fluent and knowledgeable in their teaching abilities, while children are able to experience a different teaching style from their superiors.

Along with earning the early childhood education bachelor's degree from Kent State, students in the program will receive the International Baccalaureate certificate in teaching and learning. This certification allows educators to teach at IB schools, which are not only in the United States, but are all over the world.
