Resident Assistants Experience the World Down Under

Through a unique partnership between Kent State University Residence Services and Deakin University Residential Services, ten of our student leaders (accompanied by two professional staff members) traveled to Australia for a short-term study abroad program. Twelve students from Deakin Residential Services were amazing hosts during the time away. The program took place November 16- 23, 2019.

Participating students from KSU came from a variety of student leader positions including, Kent Interhall Council President, Security Aide, Student Desk Receptionist, and Senior Multimedia Designer. Students attended the Global Housing Training Institute and had cultural experience that allowed to them to gain a greater understanding of higher education and housing operations in another country.
