Mask Up!...and Build Community
In a semester unlike any other it can be challenging to build connections with new people, but it does not have to be that way. For the Resident Assistants in the Lake/Olson community, building community has taken place in a few creative ways. So far this semester, the RAs have planned events for their residents ranging from small group rock climbing, attending an on-campus Black Lives Matter protest, and pre-semester campus tours to ensure new residents knew their way around campus. While it is true building and maintaining community this semester is more challenging, the RAs in the Lake/Olson community are proving it can be done and done well.
