At Kent State University College of Nursing, our history is one of excellence, innovation, and breaking boundaries. Since our founding in 1967, as the Kent State School of Nursing, we’ve built a great legacy of preparing some of the most highly-skilled professional nurses around.

Fewer than 70 nursing students from two area hospitals joined our program back then. Today, we’re one of the largest nursing programs in the nation with more than 12,000 alumni worldwide. Even with such tremendous growth, the qualities that originally brought us together are still shaping who we are and where we will go. Whoever you are, wherever you are, we thank you for being a part of our 50-year legacy.

Thank you for celebrating the 50th anniversary with us throughout 2017. Relive the experience by exploring stories recapping the 50th anniversary events.
