Faculty

Loretta Aller, RN, PhD(c), presented a plenary session, “Utilizing Simulation to Enhance Critical Thinking and Situational Awareness in BSN Students,” at the 2018 National League for Nursing Boise State University Biennial Simulation Conference, Boise, ID.

Kimberly Cleveland, JD, MSN, RN, C-MBC, has been appointed to the National League for Nursing Public Policy Committee for a two-year term.

Jo Dowell, PhD, CRNP, PNP, FNP-BC, was recently invited to serve as a book chapter reviewer for The Complete Directory for Pediatric Disorders (Grey House Publishing).

Lorene Martin, MSN, RN, CRNP, was honored as this year’s Kent State College of Nursing DAISY Faculty Award recipient. Honorable mentions went to Krista Hawkins, MSN, RN and Cherie Mountain, MSN, RN-BC. Read more about this year's award

Timothy Meyers, PhD, RN, was recognized with the Distinguished Alumni Award from his alma mater, Edinboro University in Edinboro, PA.

Alumni

Recent Ph.D. graduate, Dr. Wimothip Phuangkhem, presented her study, Social Support and Intimate Partner Violence Inter-action: Effects on Quality of Life Among Thai Women, at the 29th Sigma International Nursing Congress in Melbourne, Australia in July. Her presentation was attended by Dr. Jo Dowell, who co-chaired her dissertation committee.
