oikos Kent offers a neutral, non-political, and non-religious, non-partisan platform for discussion on sustainability. We seek to strengthen action competence for sustainable development among tomorrow’s decision makers. To build competence we promote awareness and actions supporting the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Meetings

General membership meetings shall be held once a week, with additional meetings called by the president as needed. Notice of additional meetings must be given to all members in the timeliest manner possible but not less than one week. The official means of notifying members shall be agreed upon at the first meeting held after the election of a new officer.

Membership Requirements

Membership in the organization at Kent State University shall be open to any and all students, faculty, and staff at Kent State University. Active membership shall be determined by involvement in the organization. Students are required to attend at least 5 meetings or 2 events held per semester. Once a student graduates or ceases to be a student at the University, his/her active membership in the organization shall cease.
