Project Management Certifications
Examples of Project Management Certifications
These are just a few examples of industry standard certifications available in Project Management. The Project Management Institute (PMI) is an internationally recognized organization that offers certifications in a wide variety of specialties which can transfer from employer to employer. They are NOT KSU specific certificates.
For more details on each of these certifications, please visit the PMI website at https://www.pmi.org/certifications.
CAPM® - Certified Associate in Project Management
- Completing the CAPM® shows your demonstrated understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes, and terminology as defined in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) that are needed for effective project management performance. This knowledge can be applied to on-the-job experiences that help develop growing levels of competence in the practice of project management.
PMP® - Project Management Professional
- PMP® certification is the gold standard in project management. Recognized and demanded by organizations worldwide, the PMP® validates your competence to perform in the role of a project manager, leading and directing projects and teams.
PMI-ACP® - PMI Agile Certified Practitioner
- Be formally recognized for your knowledge of agile principles and your skills with agile techniques. The PMI-ACP is evidence of your real-world, hands-on experience and skill as part of an agile team. It spans many approaches to agile such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, extreme programming (XP), and test-driven development (TDD), not limiting a practitioner to one agile approach.
