46th Annual New Student Reception & Cookout
The Department of Pan-African Studies will hold their 46th Annual new student reception and cookout will be held, Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 5pm-8 pm, on the green behind Oscar Ritchie Hall. There will be plenty of food, music (featuring D.J. LoKey), and dancing. Designed with new students in mind, there are opportunities to meet and greet DPAS faculty and staff, and engage with student organizations. Since 1972 the department has held this cookout to encourage new students to actively engage in the activities that the department offers. This is a unique opportunity for new and current students, faculty, staff and the greater KSU community to network and have some fun prior to the start of a new semester. Community and Student organizations are encouraged to use the form to request a table for the cookout.
Following the cookout, Black United Students will hold a pep rally to kick off the celebration of their 50th year. To learn more about upcoming events in the Department of Pan-African Studies, visit our events page.
