Join us for a presentation about the current resurgence of White Nationalism, rationale for its resurgence & emergence, results & impact it has on Global community & American society in general.  The presentation will define the term “White Nationalism” within the framework of White racism and White supremacy.   This presentation will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 5:30 pm in the African Community Theatre room 230 Oscar Ritchie Hall on the Kent State University campus.

The definition  of white nationalism will be cast in within a global context, an attempt will be made to delineate the history of White Nationalism from the fall of the Ancient Roman Empire in the Latin Christian West, the Renaissance to the inception of the Industrial Revolution and western Imperialism, including Manifest Destiny.  Activities of White Nationalism in the United States, fascist Germany and apartheid South Africa will be cited and examined contextually. Examination of the current resurgence of White Nationalism with reference to reasons for its emergence as well as the results and impact it is having upon the global society in general and the American society in particular will be made.  Additionally, a follow up course will be offered Spring 2020 on White Nationalism.  To learn more about Pan-African Studies courses or other events, visit the Department’s web page: www.kent.edu/pas
