Paper authored by physics researchers is runner-up for liquid crystal prize

The Luckhurst-Samulski Prize is awarded by a Selection Committee for the best paper published in the journal Liquid Crystals. Out of 200 publications eligible for the 2013 Luckhurst-Samulski Prize, a paper by KSU physics PhD student Shaikh Shamid and his adviser, Emeritus Prof. Dave Allender, has been selected as one of eight finalists.
