Presidential Speaker Series

The Kent State Presidential Speaker Series seeks to bring high-profile, world-renowned experts to Kent State for serious, thought-provoking discussions and conversations. Previous speakers include legendary journalist and news anchor Dan Rather, Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel, journalists and human rights advocates Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, photographer Trey Ratcliff and filmmaker Ken Burns.

Kent State University is pleased to welcome Bob Woodward, legendary, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist and associate editor of The Washington Post as the next featured speaker in the Presidential Speaker Series.  Mr. Woodward will reflect on his experiences as an investigative journalist while providing insight on the world events during the 1970s.

Call for Nominations

The Presidential Speaker Series seeks to bring high profile, world–renowned experts to Kent State University for serious, thought-provoking discussions and conversations. Priority will be given to nominations with division, college or departmental partnership and matching funds. Submissions will be reviewed by an advisory committee, with final decisions at the discretion of the President.
