Hanieh Haji Molana Headshot

I am originally from Kish Island, Iran. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Tehran University in Spring 2014 and attended the Master of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design Program at Kent State University in Fall 2014. My Master’s thesis evaluated sense of community in residential neighborhoods in the city of Tehran in Iran. Specifically, I focused on the ways in which environmental and social factors influence individuals’ quality of interaction and sense of community. My interest in social sciences and urban studies lead me to continue and develop my research in the Geography Ph.D. program at Kent State University, beginning in the Fall 2016 semester.
