Guidelines for reporting students who are not in compliance with the Flashes Safety principles

Students and faculty will be expected to follow the Flashes Safety Principles  during all face-to-face classes and interactions. Students who fail to follow these guidelines could be subject to the Classroom Disruption Policy or other areas of the Code of Student Conduct.

In some cases, individuals may have special circumstances that prevent them from wearing a face covering. Those individuals must request an accomodations through Student Accessibility Services, and the request must be approved before the student attends an in-person class.

Classroom Disruption Policy

For any student not abiding by the Flashes Safety Principles, instructors may apply the Classroom Disruption Policy:

Failure to conform

Failure to conform to the Flashes Safety Principles principles may result in an accusation of “general safety” prohibited conduct as defined in the Code of Student Conduct. If a student is found responsible for a violation of prohibited conduct, sanctions may include warning, probation, disciplinary suspension, disciplinary dismissal, and other educational or corrective measures as deemed appropriate.
