Thinking about Study Abroad?  We wanted to let you know about two opportunities available to our psychology majors.

First, our students have the opportunity to spend an entire semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Check out the Office of Global Education’s website for more information: https://www.kent.edu/Florence

In addition, the Department of Psychological Sciences has a course on the schedule for the 2020 Florence Summer Institute. Dr. Janis Crowther will be teaching a course entitled Body Image in the 21st Century. If you have questions about the course, feel free to email Dr. Crowther at jcrowthe@kent.edu or stop by 301 Kent Hall during her office hours on Wednesdays (1:30 to 3:30 PM).

For information about the Florence Summer Institute, take a look at our website: https://www.kent.edu/psychology/study-abroad-florence. There is a link to information about the Florence Summer Institute, a link to a flyer describing Dr. Crowther’s course, and two videos featuring our own Dr. Hughes.

We will be having an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 19th at 5:00 in Room 145 of Kent Hall. Several people will be at this meeting to answer your questions, including Dr. Clarissa Thompson, the Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Psychological Sciences, Ms. Aurora Alexander, an advisor in the Department, a representative from the Office of Global Education, Jessica Russell, who can address financial aid issues, Dr. Crowther, who can answer questions about her course, and one of our undergraduates, Rachel Caraffi, who can talk about her own experiences studying in Florence.

Hope you see you there!
