Celebration of Service and Engagement Ceremony
On April 24, our faculty and students distinguished themselves at this year’s Celebration of Service and Engagement Ceremony. The event formally recognized outstanding service, engagement and social justice initiatives by members of the Kent State University community.
We want to congratulate Dr. Kristina Knight, who was awarded the Curricular Service Learning award for her Near Peer Violence Prevention program in Cleveland. We also congratulate Ms. Cindy Widuck for her leadership of two community service learning projects: Walls School Community Garden and Elementary School Mini Public Health Fair. In addition, the college’s Grief Recovery Research Fund received an Outstanding New Research Initiative award. Finally, CPH Alumnus and Site Manager for AxessPointe, Stephanie Schulda (BSPH ’18) delivered the ceremony’s Keynote Address.
As you can see, CPH was well represented as our students and faculty continue to enhance our ability to engage with our community partners.
