Not sure which trip is for you? Check out our trip difficulty levels below!

Level 1: No experience required. Low level of physical exertion.

Level 2: Some experience recommended. Moderate level of physical exertion.

Level 3: Specific experience necessary. Moderate to high level of physical exertion.

RIVER TO RESTAURANT

Thursday, Aug. 29 and Sept. 5 from 6 -  9 p.m.

Paddle the Cuyahoga River near downtown Kent AND experience a local restaurant near the water!  We have partnered with local restaurants to provide a wonderful recreational opportunity for you to learn some paddling skills, try out your new skills on the water, sample local cuisine and meet some new people!  We’ll spend about 1.5 hours on the water (all gear provided) and 1.5 hours in the restaurant (free appetizer provided with the purchase of a meal).

  • Difficulty: Level 1. No experience necessary.
  • Fee: Member $35, Non-member $40

STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING (Lake)

Friday, Sept. 6 from 5 - 7 p.m.

Enjoy an afternoon on the lake where you’ll have the chance to try stand up paddleboarding. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried it before… Our experienced staff will be happy to show you everything you’ll need to know to successfully soak up some sunshine and SUP the day away!

  • Difficulty: Level 1. No experience necessary.
  • Fee: Member $30, Non-member $35

FULL MOON FLOAT

Friday, Sept. 13 from 7:30 - 10 p.m.
Saturday, Sept, 14 from 7:30 - 10 p.m.

Join us as we travel to Mogadore Reservoir for a unique evening boating experience under the full moon! We will provide all equipment including canoes, kayaks, lanterns, hot chocolate and coffee. You can ride with us or meet us out at the reservoir.

  • Difficulty: Level 1. No experience necessary.
  • Fee: Member $25, Non-member $30

OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING LOGTOWN

Sunday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Have you been wanting to go rock climbing outside but don’t know anyone with gear? Then this is the perfect trip for you! We have a lot of gear experienced trip leaders and a great location for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Fee includes transportation, equipment, lunch and instruction. Participants that pass the lead climbing class will be able to help lead routes with the supervision of staff.  

  • Difficulty: Level 1 - 2. No experience necessary, moderate physical exertion.
  • Fee: Member $40, Non-member $45

BACKPACKING - ALLEGHENY NATIONAL FOREST

Friday, Oct. 4 - Sunday, Oct. 6

Join us for a weekend in Pennsylvania where we’ll be backpacking in Allegheny National Forest. Transportation, gear and meals are all included.  With instruction from our staff, you’ll be well on your way to planning your own backpacking trip!

  • Difficulty: Level 1 - 2. No experience necessary moderate physical exertion. Trip involves hiking 4 - 6 miles per day while carrying a 30 - 40lb. backpack. Because we will be in the wilderness there will not be bathrooms or running water.
  • Fee: Member $75, Non-member $85

MAD RIVER GORGE ROCK CLIMBING TRIP

Thursday, Oct. 10 - Friday, Oct. 11

How will you be spending your Fall Break? If you’re feeling adventurous and would love to spend it outdoors, this trip is for you! We will be traveling south (near Dayton) to rock climb at this hidden gem of Ohio climbing.  Transportation, gear, meals, camping and instruction included. Make your Fall Break an experience to remember!

  • Difficulty: Level 1-2. No experience necessary moderate physical exertion. We will be camping overnight in tents.  Most climbing will be challenging.  
  • Fee: Member $85, Non-member $90
