Kent State University’s Immersion Excursion is a multi-day, outdoor adventure and experiential learning program designed for incoming first year students. While preparing them for life at Kent State, participants will learn more about themselves, explore the outdoors and meet new friends. No previous experience is necessary as all activities are geared toward the beginner. The experience will also fulfill Kent State’s Experiential Learning Requirement (ELR) for graduation.
This trip will be held in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP). Accommodations include bunk beds, air conditioning, restrooms with showers and a kitchen. Participants will have the opportunity to kayak, stand up paddleboard, hike and outdoor rock climb, as well as participate in service projects with the CVNP Rangers.
