We offer unique instructional clinics each semester. Clinics are designed to teach participants a useful outdoor skill. Types of clinics we have offered in the past include: campfire cooking, knots 101, rock climbing technique, observing the night sky, outdoor photography, packing a backpack, and more.
This two-and-a-half hour program covers the basics of indoor climbing including equipment, bouldering, top rope climbing and belaying with an ATC and GriGri device. This program sets up an individual with no prior experience to take our belay test which is required when purchasing a climbing wall membership. Contact Alexis at areed66@kent.edu with any questions.
Difficulty: Level 1. No experience necessary, mild physical exertion.

Thursday, Mar. 4 from 6 - 7 p.m.
This sixty minute program covers the basics of what to wear when recreating outdoors and planning for a variety of weather conditions.
Difficulty: Level 1. No experience necessary.
