Mental Health Awareness Month
October is Mental Health Awareness Month at Kent State University! Although not consistent with the National Health Observance calendar, this month was chosen as the need for mental health support peaks during October. This new designation will continue to highlight Mental Illness Awareness Week during the first week of October while providing an opportunity for non-clinical campus partners to showcase their shared commitment to increasing mental health awareness. This month will also serve as a broad reminder of the support, training and resources available throughout the year.

Free weekly event for students every Wednesday during the academic year providing wellness education, interactive activities, and giveaways. Participants do not need to be present the entire time. Check our Instragram account (@kentstateofwellbeing) for specific topics and giveaways.
Bring your kids over to the Family-Friendly Corner on the 6th Floor of the Library. You can study while your kids play with the toys we have there or they can join in a group activity led by a student worker.

Q'ommunity is one of two social groups hosted bi-weekly by the LGBTQ+ Center as an informal space for students to connect and talk about things that are important to you. This group is open to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
