2023 ESDRI symposium: Environmental Justice, Ecology, and Race

The Environmental Science and Design Research Institute (ESDRI), in partnership with the Anti-Racism and Equity Institute (AREI), presents the 8th Annual Environmental Science and Design Symposium at Kent State April 13-14. This year’s theme, “Environmental Justice, Ecology and Race” focuses on issues concerning structural inequality, disparity and natural processes, environmental conflicts and activism, climate justice and equitable environmental design.

Exciting symposium events include:

  • Keynote address and reception with world-renowned Dr. Dorceta Taylor, professor, author of “The Rise of the American Conservation Movement”, and pioneer in the field of environmental justice
