Ohio Development Official to Visit Kent State May 26
Ohio Development Service Agency official to visit Kent State May 26th
The Division of Research and Sponsored Programs is very pleased to announce that Paul Jackson, Senior Technology Commercialization Manager at the Ohio Development Services Agency will visit Kent State on Thursday, May 26th. We have scheduled a presentation by Paul at 11 am in Conference Room 141 in Cartwright Hall, 200 Terrace Drive.
Paul will do a 30 to 45 minute presentation on the Technology Validation and Startup Fund (TVSF), followed by time for questions and discussion. Sponsored Program Administrators and all University faculty and staff interested in Third Frontier funding are encouraged to attend.
The goal of the Ohio Third Frontier Technology Validation and Start-up Fund (TVSF) is to create greater economic growth in Ohio based on start-up companies that commercialize technologies developed by Ohio institutions of higher education and other Ohio not-for-profit research institutions. The Technology Validation and Start-Up Fund has been designed to:
- Support protected technologies developed at Ohio research institutions that need known validation/proof that will directly impact and enhance both their commercial viability and ability to support a start-up company, and
- Support Ohio start-up and Ohio young companies that license these validated/proven technologies from these Ohio research institutions.
We apologize for the short notice of this visit, but please join us if you are on Campus on May 26th.
If you have received or applied for Third Frontier funding in the past, or have an idea or technology that could support a start-up company, we encourage you to attend this event.
