Guidelines and Forms for Requesting to Return to Research/Creative Activities

Dear colleagues:

We have heard from a number of you that you very much want to return to your research/creative activities (others do not want to at this time which is also fine). The Research and Creative Activities Reopening Committee has provided guidance for a phased return to research and creative activities. These guidelines were developed with the overarching aim of keeping the entire Kent State University family safe, while increasing research/creative activity in a phased approach as safety becomes easier to maintain.

Faculty interested in returning to their labs/studios at this time should complete the relevant Request to Return to On-Campus Research or Request to Return to Off-Campus Research application forms and submit them via Qualtrics by June 4, 2020 at 5PM EST.  Chairs, deans and the Vice President of Research and Sponsored Programs will review applications.

In addition to the Request to Return to Research forms, faculty/research group leaders and trainees/staff are also required to complete the relevant Return to Research Terms and Conditions for Research Group Leaders or the Return to Research Terms and Conditions for Trainees/Staff forms. Questions regarding the forms or application process can be directed to Doug Delahanty at ddelahan@kent.edu.
