SOC/CRIM Student Ambassadors
As Soc/Crim Ambassadors, we are here to help other students with all things related to Sociology and Criminology & Justice Studies at Kent State University. We can chat with you about scheduling for classes, provide academic assistance, discuss campus resources, and much more. For more information about our program, please visit our Instagram, @ksu_soc_crim, or email us at soccrim_peer@kent.edu

Hello! My name is Sydney. I am a Criminology & Justice Studies major with a Forensic Anthropology minor. In the future, I hope to work for the FBI or the U.S. Marshals Service. As Student Ambassador, I plan to help and guide my peers during these next two semesters as much as possible. I hope you take advantage of our resources and look to us four for help! |

I’m Lia! I’m a Junior with two semesters to go! I am a double major in Criminology & Justice Studies and Psychology where I hope to work within law enforcement either on the state level as a Trooper, or the federal level as an FBI Agent or U.S. Marshal. Outside of school, you can find me cleaning my house and parenting my fur babies. I have a 7 month old Shepherd Mix puppy, Gunner, and a 3-year-old – with three normal paws and the other being deformed – cat, Captain Hook. I also have a childhood pupper that lives with my parents, Bailey, who’s 13. During my time as a Freshman, there were many college-related aspects that I did not know about because I was too scared to ask, I was overwhelmed, and most importantly, I wanted to prove that I was a normal, functioning ‘adult.’ Word of advice: I wasted a lot of time. Please don’t make the same mistakes I made, reach out to university resources (like us!) and call your therapist (Not me, I’m not certified) |

My name is Allison. I am from the Kent area and graduated from Tallmadge, OH. I am a Criminology & Justice Studies major with a concentration in policing and a minor in Pre-law. After college I plan to join law enforcement, and in the future I would like to get work undercover. White collar crime tasks interest me the most! I also would like to get a JED. My favorite hobbies include hammocking, photography, baking, and spending time with friends. During my time as a Student Ambassador I hope to help and encourage students to make the best out of college. It can be hard, but everyone is here to happily help you! As important as it is to stay on top of your academics it's just as important to take care of yourself and have fun! |
