Through the SRL, students can attain a part-time position collecting information for research purposes. The position involves contacting prospective respondents over the telephone and administering a standardized survey instrument. This position involves no sales or fundraising.
Applicants must be willing to work a minimum of one full shift per week throughout the Fall, Spring, and/or Summer.
Interviewers often work a flexible schedule of evening and weekend hours, which can vary according to a project’s needs. Check with the SRL Supervisor (Merrill Hall 226) about current shift times.
Starting wage is $9.25/hr with opportunities for $.35–$.70 raises based upon performance evaluations.
A premium starting wage is available to interviewers fluent in both English and Spanish.
