Biography

Dr. Theresa Repicky has taught courses at the School of Peace and Conflict Studies (then the Center for Applied Conflict Management) since 2001 including Introduction to Conflict Management, Negotiation, Cross-Cultural Conflict Management, Environmental Conflict Resolution, Mediation: Theory and Training, and Dispute Systems Design.

When Dr. Repicky is not teaching courses at Kent, she delivers customized, performance-based training programs to companies. She has trained business executives and sales professionals in negotiation skills, techniques, and strategies to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. In addition, she delivers corporate sales and customer service training that includes improving communication skills, enhancing customer relationships, dealing effectively with angry and difficult people, and selling profitability.

Dr. Repicky has assisted organizations in designing dispute resolution systems and mediation programs and has conducted training programs in conflict management and mediation for communities and organizations. She has mediated a wide variety of disputes including family, custody and visitation, community, and workplace disputes.

She also brings eleven years of experience working for the Fortune 500 Company, Avery-Dennison, where she directed several business segments from both a marketing and sales capacity, to her teaching and training.
