Kuali Research Resources
Kuali Research is Kent State’s electronic system for proposal submission, research compliance and grants management. Provided by KualiCo and based on the Coeus software, it is designed to simplify and streamline proposal submission and award administration for the university and provide a central, web-based repository of proposal, award and other information.
Kent State is implementing Kuali Research modules in phases. The proposal and awards modules are currently in use and compliance modules are expected to come online in the near future.

Proposal Development and Budgeting
All proposals submitted for sponsored projects are processed in Kuali Research. The proposal module allows for direct system-to-system (S2S) processing of select proposal applications to Grants.gov, resulting in faster submission processing of federal applications and fewer errors in transmission.
Kuali simplifies collaboration among Investigators, the Office of Sponsored Programs staff, the university’s Foundation Relations staff and departmental administrators who can share access to proposal data, budgets and submission materials.
Proposal processing in Kuali Research includes electronic approval routing to administrators of the units involved in each application, replacing paper transmittals and improving efficiency.
Sponsored Programs will provide training sessions as needed. Please email email@example.com to express interest in upcoming training.
No training opportunities are currently scheduled.
