Embed a Kaltura Video in a Blackboard Content Folder
EMBED A KALTURA VIDEO IN BLACKBOARD CONTENT FOLDER
If you want to share your Kaltura videos in your Blackboard courses, you can use the Kaltura Media mashup tool to embed the videos so students can view them right within the course.
1. LOG INTO BLACKBOARD
Log into Blackboard Learn at learn.kent.edu or through FlashLine.
2. ENTER YOUR COURSE
Click on the name of your course to access it.
3. Navigate to a content area/folder
Navigate to the content area or folder in which you want to embed the video.
4. Access the Kaltura Media mashup
Click on the Build Content button in the Action Bar across the top of the page. Then select Kaltura Media from the drop-down menu.
Note: If the Action Bar does not appear at the top of the page, make sure that Edit Mode is turned ON (toggle button in the upper right corner).
5. Select your video
You will see a gallery of your Kaltura videos. Locate the video you want to embed and click the Embed button. Note: You can use the search media field to more quickly locate videos.
6. Set video options
a. Enter a title for the video.
b. Enter a description for the video.
c. Set standard options, including show/hide, track statistics, and date and time restrictions
Once you have set your desired options, click the Submit button to finish.
Your students can now view your video from within your Blackboard course.
