Celebrate the world with Kent State Stark!

Kent State University at Stark presents Global Gateway Day, a family friendly afternoon filled with cultural performances, international food sampling, global games and activities for all ages. This event is free and open to the public.

GLOBAL GATEWAY DAY - DESTINATION: AFRICA
Saturday, June 8, 2019
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Kent State University at Stark

Activities include:

  • International Food Sampling: Try authentic African food samples from Morris's African Market, Naka Market, Kifaya's Kitchen and the Emporium Grille.
  • Live Cultural Performances: Attendees can experience cultural performances from the Barefeet Dance Tribe, From Congo to Akron band and Olu Manns, African drumming.
  • Global Games and Activities: Families can participate in African face painting, arts and crafts, tea and coffee corner and a panel discussion with study abroad students who recently traveled to Rwanda.
