Welcome from omi
It is my privilege to welcome you to Kent State University at Stark. I hope that you are excited to not only succeed academically, but get plugged in and engaged with all that our wonderful campus has to offer. The Office of Multicultural Initiatives is new to this campus, and I am really excited for what we have to offer our students.
I have spent the last ten years working with college students. I am passionate about issues of diversity, multiculturalism, reconciliation and helping to see this next generation succeed and thrive in life. I am excited to not only support our student body holistically, but to help promote and celebrate the beauty of diversity on this campus. Check out the exciting programs and events that the OMI will be hosting this year. Feel free to stop by my office in 133B Main Hall (across from Student Services) and introduce yourself. Know that while you’re on this journey here at Kent State Stark, you do not travel it alone. I, along with the many others at Kent State Stark, are here to help you along the way.
I look forward to meeting you. Best wishes on an amazing year!
