Getting involved on campus is one of the quickest ways to become part of the university community and create your own Kent State experience. The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) offers opportunities for leadership and participation in student-initiated projects and student organizations.
Graduate Assistants hired within the Division of Student Affairs receive a monthly stipend and full tuition scholarship (fee waiver) and gain valuable professional experience in a variety of higher education work environments.
The mission of the Student Affairs Advisory Committee is to serve as an advisory body to the vice president for student affairs with a focus on quality service to students and emphasizing the importance of quality management principles for the division.
The Student Trustee provides a unique and meaningful opportunity for direct student involvement in the governance of the university. The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs facilitates the annual search/nomination process for a new student member of Kent State’s Board of Trustees. Members are appointed to two-year terms by the governor and actively participate in meetings and other board-related events.
