Common reading experience Essay

All first-year students are required to type and submit an essay that will be automatically enrolled in the Common Reading Experience Essay Contest. Essays need to be typed and submitted electronically prior to the first day of KSU Kickoff, Sunday, August 19, 2018.

All first-year students will participate in a peer-led discussion held during KSU Kickoff. By reading the book, taking notes, and writing the essay, students should feel prepared to engage in meaningful discussion and activities with their peers. The author of the Common Reading Experience book might also be in your class!

Where will the Common Reading Discussion take place?

You will be notified of your Common Reading Discussion location when you check in for KSU Kickoff in August. Students will meet with their First Year Experience (FYE) class as their assigned group for the discussion. You will NOT be in your regularly scheduled FYE course location.
