Celebrate Earth Day events at Kent State University! Participate in fun environmental activities hosted by student organizations and local businesses, partners, and organizations. In the morning a children's book reading and activities for Child Development Center students will take place. At 2:00 pm, all students, faculty and staff are invited for a tree planting at Kent State University along Loop Rd. across from the Child Development Center. The ceremony also commemorates Arbor Day, and Kent State’s eighth consecutive year earning the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Campus USA designation. In the afternoon students, faculty, and staff are invited to stop by the first floor Library Reading Room for activities and information from Kent State student organizations, and local partners, businesses, and organizations. Co-hosted by the Kent State University Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Kent State University Child Development Center; Kent State University Office of Sustainability.
