Office of Experiential Education and Civic Engagement and University Relations: Campus-Wide Food Drive and Can Sculpture Competition
Office of Experiential Education and Civic Engagement and University Relations: Campus-Wide Food Drive and Can Sculpture Competition October 21st, 7 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Did you know that 1 in 7 individuals in Portage County is food insecure? Kent State will again be holding the annual campus-wide food drive from Wednesday, October 21st- Thursday, November 5th. All donations will benefit Center of Hope, Kent Social Services, and the Campus Kitchen. There will be collection sites across campus as well as an online food drive platform.
To kick off the food drive, University Relations and OEECE will host a Can Sculpture Competition! We challenge groups of students to put their creativity to the test and build a structure out of non-perishable donation items. This event will take place on Wednesday, October 21st from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Center for Undergraduate Excellence (CUE). All sculptures will be judged and prizes will be awarded to the winning groups. For more information, contact Chris Hicks (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jenna Bumstead (email@example.com).
