Hannah Sidol (she/her, they/them) is a fourth year BFA Dance Performance major originating from North Olmsted, Ohio. Hannah is a first-year member of the Kent Dance Ensemble, and has performed in faculty and undergraduate concerts. Hannah has had numerous performance opportunities including a solo at trideaDANCE festival, and a piece she choreographed at the American College Dance Association East Central Regional Conference. In the spring, Hannah will also be performing with MamLuft&Co. Dance in commemorating the events of May 4th. Hannah’s choreography credits include Kent’s Student Dance Festival, Omega (WO)man, and for a candidate in the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program. Hannah has also had the opportunity to study at the Limón Dance Company Summer Intensive, and Strictly Seattle in Seattle, Washington for three weeks. On top of dancing, Hannah has served in many leadership roles such as Student Artistic Director for Kent’s Student Dance Festival, Treasurer of the Student Dance Education Organization- Kent State Chapter, and as a Student Representative for Kent’s Dance Faculty Search Committee. Hannah’s commitment and hard work towards Kent’s program has been noted as she received the Lucy E. Stillings Scholarship, the Xavier Atienza Scholarship, and a faculty award for “Outstanding Service to the Dance Division.” Hannah is super thankful for this opportunity to grow as a dancer and performer. She would also like to thank her loved ones for the continuous support towards her dreams, and always pushing her to be her authentic self.
