The School of Theatre and Dance offers programs leading to Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees. 


Undergraduate training

The School of Theatre and Dance at Kent State University offers undergraduate programs in Dance Studies, Dance Performance, Design and Technology, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Studies. The programs in Dance Studies and Theatre Studies lead to Bachelor of Arts degrees. The programs in Dance Performance, Design and Technology, and Musical Theatre lead to Bachelor of Fine Arts Degrees. Undergraduate students may also pursue a minor in dance or minor in theatre.

Graduate training

Kent State University's School of Theatre and Dance offers graduate programs in Acting, Acting for Returning Professionals, and Design and Technology. Students pursuing the graduate program in Design in Technology will concentrate their studies in one of four areas: Costume Design, Lighting Design, Scenic Design, or Theatre Technology. All of the graduate programs offered by the School of Theatre and Dance lead to Master of Fine Arts degrees.
