BFA Design Tech Program Ranked #18 in U.S.
The School of Theatre and Dance’s BFA Design, Technology, and Production program has been selected by On Stage Blog as one of the top 25 programs for the 2018-2019 academic year. In our ranking at #18, On Stage highlights Kent State’s Erdmann-Zucchero Black Box Theatre and the annual Black Box Series of student produced works.
The BFA Design, Technology, and Production program prepares students for careers as professional theatre designers, technicians and artisans. Students receive training in traditional and new methods of theatrical design and technology, focusing their studies in costume design, lighting design, scenic design, sound design, and/or stage management.
Alumni of the BFA Design, Technology, and Production program currently work nationally and internationally on Broadway and national tours, in film and television, and at educational institutions.
