The Kent Dance Ensemble marks its 25th anniversary this year with its annual concert "Kent Dance Ensemble: 25 Years" and special alumni events. The weekend of performance and alumni celebrations will take place on Kent State University's Kent campus April 2-4, 2015.
The concert, featuring choreography from the Kent Dance Ensemble's 25 year history, will open Thurs., April 2 at 8 p.m. in E. Turner Stump Theatre located in the Center for the Performing Arts, 1325 Theatre Drive, Kent, OH 44242. The concert runs through Sat., April 4.
Alumni events commemorating the Kent Dance Ensemble's milestone will take place throughout the weekend. A "Campus and Community Night" will be held on Thursday, April 2 and Kent State Dance alumni are encouraged to attend the opening night performance and enjoy a dessert reception afterwards. An alumni mixer will be held at Bar 157 in downtown Kent following the Fri., April 3 performance. A Scholarship Dinner benefitting current and future dance students will be held in the Kent Student Center on Sat., April 4 prior to the 8 p.m. closing performance.
