Kent State Musical Theatre Students to Showcase Talents in New York

Annual Musical Theatre Showcase allows students to perform for industry professionals

Kent, OH – Seventeen senior musical theatre students and two graduate students from Kent State’s School of Theatre and Dance will perform in New York on March 24, 2015 for industry professionals. The annual Musical Theatre Showcase allows graduating students planning on moving to New York City after commencement the opportunity to perform for prospective managers, agents and casting directors.

The 2015 Musical Theatre Showcase will take place on March 24 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café, located at 407 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036. Performances are at 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8 p.m. (alumni performance).

Preview performances will take place on Thurs., March 19 at 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Erdmann-Zucchero Black Box Theatre located in the Center for the Performing Arts, 1325 Theatre Drive, Kent, OH 44242.
