The festival will showcase three original pieces choreographed by the University’s B.F.A. junior dance majors: Lily Deems, Maggie Busch, and Elyza Morckel. The choreographers have used different ways to engage the audience with diverse music and movement choices. Themes such as invisible disabilities, positive versus negative, and abstract movement exploration are relayed through the choreographers’ work and the dancers’ performances. This will be the first time these three choreographers have premiered their own individual work at Kent State, and they are looking forward to the opportunity.
